As an artist I wanted to explore different print mediums and packaging design. Parched Panda Lager was a self made project to continue my practices in Photoshop as well as Illustrator. In this project I experiment with photoshop brushes. With these brushes I attempted to make it look as though the label has been painted on. In this project I got inspiration from Chinese paintings to create my design.

This project was a self made project where I gave myself rules and guidelines to make an online app. I timed myself for 2 hours and 30 minutes to see how much of an app I could develop in that time. I made this time deadline because I would be facing the same time constraints when designing products for a client. As well as made sure I stuck to a cohesive color scheme through my design.

This app is called “Friend Zone” and is designed to be almost like a dating app but for making friends instead. The user gets randomly generated profiles of others in the area. And after reading the short bio that person can either press the heart to match or X to skip to the next person. If that other user hearts your profile you will become friends and can chat as well as look at each others posts. On the home screen you will instantly be shown friends in your area as well as posts they have made in certain locations. So if a friend is close by the user can message them and ask to meet up.

The topic for this magazine (seafood) was chosen for me by my illustration teacher. For this project to get a wide range of seafood in one magazine I illustrated seafood that looks burned into the wood of a cutting board.

The first picture is a logo I designed for a client that is a EDM music producer. The client wanted a plain black logo that could be used on multiple products such as shirts and jackets. The second picture is a logo I created for my own self branding, my own personal logo.

For this project I had to create a poster for the event Firefly, as well as give a list of all the bands playing corresponding to their day. I faced the challenge of fitting a lot of text into one poster. Typography was an important skill to have in this project to make the poster legible and readable to those that see the poster.

My illustration class was required to character build and create the environment of the world our character lives in. The first photo is a book cover I designed for my character. The main character was a half deer/ half human that loved to garden and practice witchcraft. In the story “Talona” the deer girl poisons her mom with the berries pictured in the book cover by making a pie.

The second image is the pattern that can be seen on the inside front and back cover in the pictures below. I also created a character turnaround of Talona as well as spot illustrations for the inside of the book.

Stickers are designed to be used in social media platforms such as Facebook. Since my character was a simply designed alien, I relied heavily on the color palette to really bring the character to life.

Waste Wanderers is a fictional world that takes place in a landfill. The characters I have designed are food that have been thrown away and use trash from the landfill to move on their own. I gave the characters brighter colors than discarded food would have to make them no blend to their dingy landfill environment.

Waste Wanderers target audience would be young adults, similar to an Adult Swim audience.

For this project we had to make a magazine cover of an artist we are inspired by. I choose Keith Haring as an artist and implied much of his artwork to create a spread that matches his style. I also stuck to a limited color palette similar to what Keith Haring does in his artwork.

 This page contains my favorite photos taken during my photography class. I learned many different techniques such as shutter speed, aperture, IOS, and white balance. I also learned the important difference from shooting in jpeg vs RAW. As well as how to edit RAW images using the tools provided in Adobe CC Lightroom.

For this project I had to pick a real event happening around in the Baltimore, Maryland area. I had to design both a poster and postcard for the event. Since the event is “Yoga at the Zoo” I wanted to go with fun bright colors to match the fun environment. Also, the penguins are the star animal of this poster because the yoga takes place next to the penguin habitat.

For this project I had to pick two words from two different groups of words. For this project I matched together “textured monsters”. I then had to create 25 of these monsters and put them all on one page. I decided to give my monsters an environment, so I choose an outdoor birthday party. Giving a fun event to match my silly monster characters.

For this project I had to learn how to properly design and measure the packaging for soap. As well as think of what little details would be added to the soap packaging before being put on the market. The soap packaging was required to be pattern based off of a fairytale. My pattern was inspired by “The Little Mermaid”.

For this project I had to use text to create a portrait. I got inspired by pixels, and code and decided to make my portrait using all zeros. I did not want to go with a natural skin tone color palette. I limited my color palette to bright colors to stand out from the black background.
